Thank you for checking out the About Me area. Here I will tell you the story about myself. Because sometimes people just want to know. :) This will be a (
VERY!
) slowly evolving area of the site and will hopefully someday present all the information in a beautiful way. Check back every few months to learn more about me and what goes on in my head. There is LOTS!
- totally bored with electro at the moment (2009-07-07)
- I say take every rule about fashion, design, style, arrangement, taste and burn it. Those rules are fake. If you like it, it's good.
- I strongly believe that with hard work you can do anything you want.
- I love sound and picture because it's easier for me to tell a story with it than words.
- No joke, I find green olives and a tall cold glass of milk to be a fabulous combination. Eat one olive and wash it down with a few gulps of milk. You'll notice that the milk tastes much sweeter when complemented with the strong salty olive taste. Yum!
- I accept that I'm easily misunderstood
- In the period between 10th grade and Freshman year college at the University of Minnesota I underwent an extreme Pink Floyd phase; I mean, I took it pretty deep. So yes!
- Vowels (as opposed to consonants) are the driving communicative component of Western Languages. It's much easier to express and interpret tone with vowels.
- Someday, I will operate a sustaining label.
- I would rather listen to house music than talk.
- 2009-Feb-18: I live in a town without a post office.
- On any given day, I feel very fortunate if I know I've learned something new
- I'm just trying to figure it all out as I go
- Randomly discovered Paul Oakenfold's Tranceport in 2001 and fell in love.
- 2008 Institute of Production and Recording (IPR) graduate: Summa Cum Laude
- Optimistic_Naivety - link currently broken
- Devo kicks serious ace
- 2001: became obsessed with Trance music
- will openly and honestly break convention, when necessary
- it is often necessary
- hope to own a Studer A827 someday
- enjoy Nintendo Wii
- analog is where it's at
- When I was about 10 years old, my mom told me that music is a hobby, not a career. One of my life goals is to prove that I can do it. Will you help me?
- 2002: purchased Transport 4 by Max Graham on a whim thinking it would be like Tranceport (it's the same series). It wasn't and I couldn't stand it (for a while).
- Sometimes I appreciate songs you wouldn't expect (examples: Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani, Toxic by Britney Spears)
- the Internet is the single greatest development in modern human history
- back in the day, I used to be all about grape Hubba Bubba
- avoids being swept up by fads
- have been called crazy
- music is my life
- moderately skilled drummer
- 2002: I thought it was a shame to have bought the Max Graham CD and never listen to it. It was expensive! So I forced myself to listen to it after it sitting on my shelf for 4 months. I still didn't like it. There was only one good song: Vernon's Wonderland (Hybrid's Matrix Dub) by Vernon. I listened to that song on heavy rotation.
- love pizza
- do not like words on my clothes - the plain-er the better
- love plaid pants
- 2002: slowly found myself listening to the songs before and after Vernon's Wonderland on Transport 4 while walking to class at the U of M thinking "hey, these songs aren't that bad."
- finds business interesting
- does not fancy sports
- My favorite screenwriter is Charlie Kaufman
- Love colors
- B.A. in Accounting
- 2003: became obsessed with Max Graham, Release Records, and Progressive House
- not a Hipster
- PC purist (apt to change if Apple lowers their prices)
- loyal to those loving and accepting of me
- honesty is the most important human attribute
- shy
- actually I would say more quiet than shy (not the same thing)
- Love to read
- movie fanatic
- In high school I played drums in two different punk bands. One was hardcore flag-burning punk rock and the other was christian punk.
- harsh movie critic
- avid nerd
- not a Scenester
